NSKA June Recap! ⏮️
June has been one of the busiest and most rewarding months yet for Norfolk Sport Karate Academy. From competitions all over the country, to fitness challenges, competition squad sessions and even national team invitations, our students have stepped up with their dedication. 🥋🔥
300,000 Step Challenge! 👣
This month we introduced our Step Challenge, encouraging our students, parents, and instructors to hit 10,000 steps per day or a massive 300,000 steps over the month. We actively strive to make our club a community feel and team based environment. Karate isn't just about time in the dojo; it's about building healthy, consistent habits outside of training too. And we loved seeing everyone getting active together! It’s been brilliant to see the NSKA Team moving together. Well done to everyone who took part in this months challenge. 💪
Squad Sessions & Competition Conditioning!
In preparation for competitions previously attended in June and now as we look ahead for the Central England Karate Championships; the biggest competition many of our athletes have ever faced, happening 6th July in Worcester. The team has been training incredibly hard over this last month. 🔥
Our Kata & Kumite squad has been locked into technical circuits, strength drills, and focused conditioning every week. It’s all part of helping them perform at elite level standards within the English Karate Federation (EKF). We can only look forward to seeing the results on the day, and can say with confidence the whole squad have been putting in the hours. Win or lose, to step up to the highest level in Professional Karate is a huge feat and for our newcomer athletes we are immensely proud of you all! 🙌

NATIONAL TEAM TRAINING!
We’re especially proud to share some HUGE NEWS regarding National Team Training. 🙌
MASSIVE achievement for Lucy Brooks one of our competition athletes at Norfolk Sport Karate Academy. After winning the gold at this year's English Kyu Grade & English National Championships Lucy was sent for trials to train with the England National Squad as a reflection of her proven results. After the last few months of trails Lucy has received confirmation that she has earned a place as a full time squad member! 🎉
Lucy's achievements are the result of putting in countless hours a week of focused training with us and Links Karate Association, as well as having dedicated parents putting in the hours and miles getting her where she needs to be all the time. Borderline redefining the meaning of a weekend to being for karate... Although that's our idea of fun. 😅
The coaches at NSKA are incredibly proud of you and look forward to seeing you take on the next stages of your competitive journey! 🥋
📆 WHAT’S COMING IN JULY?
July is shaping up to be an exciting month at Norfolk Sport Karate Academy! We're kicking off with a 100 Sit-Ups a Day Challenge, aiming for a whopping 3,000 reps by the end of the month! 💪
New sessions are now also on the timetable, including Low Grade Karate Classes every Monday night and our high-energy Monday Night Bootcamp ran by Your Community Fitness! 🔥
Instructor meetings are also scheduled as we begin exciting talks with the University of East Anglia (UEA) Karate Team, plans for further fitness classes and guidance for our students! 🤝
Plus, there’s always time for more squad training sessions. In preparation for elite level competitions including the EKF Central England Open and Thurrock Open. 🏆
