Beginner Packages
Beginners uniform in short after 1 months training:

A correctly fitting white karate gi with an NSKA club badge

Gum shield

Karate hand pads

An EKF licence (available via our licence page)
Leg pads are not required for beginners but will be compulsory for students that grade to 7th kyu and beyond or regularly attend sport karate and squad training sessions.
Our beginner packages range from £80-90 depending on uniform size and can be ordered through the club to ensure everything is correct. Please get in contact below or speak to your instructor in class.
Sport Karate & Other Kit
Sport karate requires additional equipment to ensure governing body compliance and safety as well as looking the part.
Competition class & All competitions require the following for each discipline. We can supply all equipment through the club but please speak to your instructor beforehand.
Kata:
Any clean white karate Gi for low level competitions
WKF approved kata Gi for high level competitions (Red & Blue for all WKF events)
Red & Blue WKF approved belts that are the correct length
Kumite:
Any clean white karate Gi for low level competitions.
WKF approved kumite Gi for high level competitions (Red & Blue for all WKF events)
Red & Blue hand and leg pads are required for any competition.
All competitors require a gum shield.
All male competitors require a groin guard.
All female competitors require a WKF approved chest guard
All competitors require WKF approved body armour, U14s to wear a different kind over the top of the Gi.
All U14s to wear a WKF approved head & face shield.
