Norfolk Sport Karate Academy at HX Karate Cup & National Team Training!

HX KARATE CUP SUCCESS! 🏆

What a weekend for Norfolk Sport Karate Academy! Our talented athletes travelled to Huddersfield on the 14th June to compete in the Halifax Karate Cup under Links Karate Association! 🔥

Our students took part in Kata and put on a fantastic display of technique, speed, and power. With strong stances, sharp focus, and high energy. 👊

The coaches are very proud of the squad as they showed their commitment and consistent effort through their impressive performances. With squad members making it through multiple rounds, testing their abilities and physicality!

Medal tally:

Gold: 1 🥇

Silver: 2 🥈🥈

Bronze: 1 🥉

The whole team did incredibly well and the coaches couldn’t be prouder of everyone who competed!

EKF ENGLISH NATIONAL TRAINING!🥋

As if competing wasn’t enough, on Sunday 15th June, Sensei Rhys Carter (2nd Dan) and Lucy Brooks (1st Kyu) attended the English Karate Federation National Kata Training Sessions under NSKA’s association; Links Karate —pushing themselves to the limit under sweltering heat! 💪

The 2 hour training session pushed their body’s, as well as their strengths and weaknesses as it was blisteringly hot, as shown in their post training photo! Both sessions challenged our athletes physically and mentally as they were giving their all on the mats, sweating through high-level drills that utilised hip movement to gain power and snap, as well as intricate decisions on leg positioning, and the use of flat out fitness drills to build their Kata ability. Both athletes received fantastic feedback on posture, positioning and more. 📈

A truly eye opening and exciting day for both of our NSKA athletes as they look to go back to National training in September!

NSKA competition athletes continue to develop at an impressive pace, constantly pushing their boundaries and striving for excellence both on and off the mat. Their hard work, resilience, and sportsmanship make them standout role models for their peers, inspiring younger students to aim higher and train harder. With the determination they show in every competition and training session, there's no doubt that NSKA athletes have a bright future in sport karate. Many of them are on the path to achieving great things nationally and beyond. 🏆

We’re so proud of every athlete who competed, trained, and supported over this weekend. Seeing their growth, determination, and passion for the sport is what makes all the hard work worthwhile. The coaches are very excited to see where all of the hard work and dedication can take each and every one of our athletes in their competitive careers! 🚀
