Karate & Fitness: Building Strong Bodies and Minds at NSKA.

Over the years, we’ve seen firsthand how karate can truly transform lives. Through helping children build confidence, overcome challenges, whilst empowering children and adults to push past limits and discover what their bodies are capable of.



From this, we’ve blended the traditional discipline of Karate with modern strength and conditioning techniques. Teaming alongside Your Community Fitness creating a unique training environment that supports fitness goals for all ages and abilities.



Karate in itself is a fantastic Full-Body Workout. People often come to karate looking for self-defence skills or a new hobby, but quickly realise how much more it can offer with the right education and teachings. Karate structured in the right way is a powerful, full-body workout that can develop:



  • Strength & muscular endurance

  • Balance, flexibility & coordination

  • Cardiovascular endurance

  • Explosive power and speed

  • Agility & motor skills



The best part? It’s inclusive. We work with complete beginners, athletes, and everyone in between.



At NSKA, we’ve gone one step further by specialising in sport-specific fitness training directly into our karate classes and fitness programming. We focus on developing your physical potential using tried-and-tested performance methods wi  the experienced instructors and our very own Personal Trainer, Rhys Carter Level 4 Qualified.



We’re proud to offer more than just traditional karate. And it’s working.

We’ve seen members lose weight, gain strength, improve performances, and most importantly feel better within themselves. From better posture and balance to improved stamina and explosive energy, our students are progressing week by week.



And this brings us to a big factor of this blog. And it’s to celebrate the success of our athletes at NSKA!



Within 4 months of opening and by use of structure fitness plans and dedicated training sessions. Our students have gone on to win countless medals and titles. Including English National Titles, EKF E1 medals and much much more. Selected students have also been promoted into the English National Team and others selected for major competitions abroad alike Luxembourg in September! Their consistent dedication and hard work has cemented their place into top division competition Karate, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Team. Because it’s not just practicing punches and kicks, there is so much more to their success. Bootcamp classes every Monday, structured sessions at home, specific drilling in classes. They strive to work for their goals and it is showing clearly.
